Connecting to the existing landscape
The project is delicately sliced to connect to existing alleys and stairways and to create new plazas that frame the view of the mountains and the sea. It was important that this bold addition to the main road of Broumana has an architect that is undoubtedly contemporary and at the same time remarkably warm and inviting.
Mediterranean architecture
Inspired by the 50’s and 60’s Mediterranean architecture, the two residential buildings sit on the lower part of the steep mountain site and take shape as a series of individual louvered pods stacked on top of verdant concrete slabs. Plants and trees grow along the length of each building bringing life to each window and house.
